The Lake Country Water Supply Plan and the Conservation & Drought Response Plan was created in 2011 by the Southside Planning District Commission. Participating localities included Brunswick County, Mecklenburg County and the towns of Alberta, Boydton, Brodnax, Chase City, Clarksville, La Crosse, Lawrenceville, and South Hill.
