Mecklenburg County will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 5:30 pm at the Southside Planning District Commission, 200 S. Mecklenburg Avenue, South Hill, VA to solicit public input on the proposed Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) proposal to be submitted to the Virginia Department of Housing and Community Development for the Quail Hollow Housing Project. Residents of the project area are encouraged to attend. The Quail Hollow Project proposal will include the following activities: housing rehabilitation and construction.
The draft CDBG proposal will be presented for comment along with information on projected beneficiaries, including the number of low- and moderate-income residents to benefit from the proposed project, and plans to minimize displacement. Citizens will also be given the opportunity to comment on the County’s past use of CDBG funds.
